Convert iPhone HEIC Photos to JPG

Last updated: February 24, 2026

Your iPhone takes photos in HEIC format by default — great for storage efficiency, terrible for compatibility. Windows PCs, many websites, design tools, and older applications can't open HEIC files. OneClickPDF converts them to universally compatible JPG in seconds.

The Problem

You have HEIC photos from your iPhone and need them in JPG format. Maybe you're uploading to a website that doesn't accept HEIC, sharing with someone on Windows, or importing into a design tool. You need quick, batch conversion without uploading personal photos to a server.

How It Works

1

Open the Image Converter

Go to OneClickPDF's Image Converter.

2

Upload HEIC files

Drop your HEIC photos onto the upload zone. You can upload multiple files at once for batch conversion.

3

Select JPG output

Choose JPG as the target format. Optionally adjust the quality slider (higher quality = larger files).

4

Download converted photos

Click Convert. Each HEIC becomes a JPG file. For multiple photos, download all as a ZIP.

Image Converter

Convert between image formats: HEIC, WEBP, JPG, PNG and more.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my iPhone use HEIC?
HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) uses ~50% less storage than JPG at the same quality. Apple made it the default starting with iOS 11. The downside is limited compatibility outside the Apple ecosystem.
Will I lose quality converting HEIC to JPG?
Minimal quality loss at high JPG quality settings (90%+). HEIC and JPG both use lossy compression, so the conversion is a re-encoding. At default quality settings, the difference is imperceptible.
Can I change my iPhone to shoot JPG instead?
Yes. Go to Settings > Camera > Formats and select 'Most Compatible'. But this uses more storage. Converting HEIC to JPG when needed is often the better approach.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Conversion happens entirely in your browser. Your personal photos are never transmitted to any server.

No more HEIC compatibility headaches. Convert your iPhone photos to JPG instantly — your personal photos never leave your device, and the quality is preserved.
