What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device when you visit them. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to site owners. Cookies are stored in your browser and can be read on subsequent visits to identify you or remember your preferences.

Cookies we use

OneClickPDF uses a minimal number of cookies, all related to anonymous analytics. We do not use advertising, marketing, or tracking cookies of any kind.

Consent

Cookies are only set after you give explicit consent via our cookie banner. If you decline, no cookies are set at all and no analytics scripts are loaded. Your choice is respected immediately — we do not use "soft opt-in" or pre-checked boxes. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage, which will reset your consent choice and show the cookie banner again on your next visit.

Separately from cookies, we keep anonymous daily usage totals (such as "Merge PDF: started") on our own server. They use no cookie and store nothing in your browser, and the totals hold no IP address, browser details or ID. Nothing is sent after you decline, or if your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Local storage

In addition to cookies, we use your browser's localStorage to persist certain preferences and data. localStorage is not a cookie — it is not sent to any server with your requests. All localStorage data stays entirely on your device.

• ocpdf_cookie_consent — Stores your cookie preference ("granted" or "denied"). Used to remember whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies.
• ocpdf_visited — Records whether you have visited the site before. Used for anonymous return-visit analytics (only when consent is granted).
• ocpdf_internal — Set only on our own team's browsers, so that our visits are left out of the analytics.
• Saved signatures (Sign PDF tool) — If you choose to save a signature or initials, they are stored in localStorage on your device. They are never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

Third-party cookies

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or any third-party cookies. The only cookies set on OneClickPDF are the Google Analytics cookies listed above, which are first-party cookies (set under our own domain, not Google's). No data is shared with advertisers, data brokers, or social media platforms.

Managing cookies

You can delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view and delete individual cookies, block cookies from specific sites, or block all cookies entirely. Here are links to cookie management instructions for common browsers:

Note that clearing your browser's localStorage will also reset your cookie consent preference, and you will see the cookie banner again on your next visit. Saved signatures and other local preferences will also be removed.

Change your preference

You can change your cookie preference at any time. "Turn off analytics" stops Google Analytics straight away, deletes its cookies and keeps it off on this browser (the anonymous usage totals stop too). "Ask me again" does the same now and shows the cookie banner on your next page load. A browser that sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track is never shown the banner and never tracked.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
